QUEENSTOWN LAKEFRONT TRADERS BRING NEW MARKET TO FRANKTON - After deeming their regular trading post by Lake Wakatipu no longer viable because of new bylaw requirements, a group of sellers is setting up a new market in Country Lane Retail Village. The first "Makers Market Country Lane" will be held on Sunday, April 28, and the market will run fortnightly after this.

AN HOSPITABLE OF CHURCH - Queenstown’s latest hospo venue, which officially opened on Friday at Frankton’s Country Lane precinct, formerly performed service as a church. Relocated earlier this year from Waipahi, near Gore, it’s fittingly been named Sundays, though it’ll open Wednesdays till Sundays — 11am till late.

Originally part of Queenstown’s first high school, the wooden building’s thought to date back about 100 years.

PRIME QUEENSTOWN DEVELOPMENT LAND FOR SALE AFTER 108 YEARS - A prime section of development land in Queenstown is on the market for the first time in more than 100 years. The 5199-square-metre piece of farmland was bought by Robert Grant in 1913 as part of the Grant Family Farm and is spread over three titles.

CONTRY LANE COLLECTIVE - The founders of the novel retail centre, café and honey experience in Frankton, known as Country Lane, have a direct link to the rural property’s farming history. Tineke Enright and her brother Bruce Grant developed the centre on the family farm after their father Bill Grant retired from farming.
